Price Option 1 TURN KEY PACKAGES

Payment terms - 50% payment confirms the order, 45% payment first day on site and 5% payment 7 days after completion.
Refunds: Once the 50% deposit has been paid we are unable to offer a refund.
Refunds: Once the 45% payment has been paid we are unable to offer a refund.
Refunds: Once the 5% payment has been paid we are unable to offer a refund.

Price Option 2 CLIENT ACTS AS CONTRACTOR

Payment terms - 25% payment confirms the order, 75% payment first day on site
Refunds: Once the 25% deposit has been paid we are unable to offer a refund.
Refunds: Once the 75% payment has been paid we are unable to offer a refund.

The client ‘acts’ like the contractor and Fluid Acoustics trading as Wildback Partnership ‘acts’ like the labourer.

The client accepts responsibility for some of the risks in exchange Fluid Acoustics trading as Wildback Partnership removing profit on materials and other services, which in turn reduces the clients overall costs. The client purchases the materials allow the client the ability to reclaim VAT on materials giving a possible further saving. 

The client acting like the contractor agrees to take on the following responsibilities: 

  • Purchasing materials, in most circumstances this allows the client to reclaim VAT 
  • Arrange delivery of all materials to the property and ensure they are loaded in the correct spaces before work commences
  • Provide insurance to cover public liability, the building site including tools and materials
  • Provide low skilled labour as an when requested
  • Paying labour costs for Fluid Acoustics trading as Wildback Partnership and local skilled and unskilled labour
  • Paying additional labour and or material costs if any issues result in construction time being extended
  • Paying additional labour and or materials costs if they are required to complete the works

Fluid Acoustics trading as Wildback Partnership acting as the labour, agrees to take on the following responsibilities: 

  • Supplying materials lists and or invoices for client to purchase 
  • Construction of all soundproofing and installation of all acoustic treatment 
  • Ensuring all room acoustics responses perform as specified within the acoustic report
  • Ensuring all soundproofing performs as specified with the soundproofing report (unknown building defects excluded)

Payments to Fluid Acoustics trading as Wildback Partnership are purely for labour and minor materials (items like tool hire and some specialised fixings).

Payments terms - 25% confirm the order and 75% payment on the first day onsite the week the works are set to start. 

An overall works schedule will be provided. Please note, we usually work a one week on and one week off schedule unless stated otherwise.

While every effort is made to slightly overestimate labour and materials, any additional labour costs or material costs will be raised with the client during the build and invoiced as an additional cost to the client acting as the main contractor. Material prices do fluctuate, it is strongly recommended that you purchase all materials as soon as you receive the materials list. Pricing Option 2 gives the client the ability to adjust the direction of the build relatively easily by simply ordering more materials or paying for more labour, this is more complicated and costly with a turnkey package.


Price Option 3 CLIENT IS THE CONTRACTOR

This is our most flexible pricing option and enables the client to have the greatest cost savings, however it does come with higher risks.

  • Any amendments to the soundproofing or acoustic designs, construction specifications, material lists or drawings after they have been issued will be charged at a pre agreed hourly rate. 

  • Quotations that the designs produce will be produced on the following basis : 
    • The Client is the contractor and Fluid Acoustics trading as Wildback Partnership provides skilled
      labour only and tools* if previously agreed. 

    • The Clients as the contractor and takes on the following responsibilities: 
      • Purchasing all materials, in most circumstances this allows them to reclaim VAT
      • Providing and paying local unskilled labour
      • Providing insurance to cover public liability, the building site and including our tools and materials.
      • Paying skilled labour costs for Fluid Acoustics trading as Wildback Partnership
      • Paying skilled labour costs for specialist contractors (for example, air conditioning engineers, plumbers /
        electricians)
      • Paying additional labour / material costs if changes are made to the original design or construction takes longer
        than expected and/or additional materials are required. 

    • Fluid Acoustics trading as Wildback Partnership provide skilled labour only and tools* if previously agreed and take on the following
      responsibilities: 
      • Supplying materials invoices for The Clients to purchase in their name.
      • Supplying schedule of Works including skilled and unskilled labour costs
      • Construction of internal works including soundproofing and acoustic treatment alongside The Clients unskilled labour.
      • Overseeing the The Clients locally sourced labourers and other skilled contractors.
      • While every effort will be taken to ensure all soundproofing and acoustic responses perform as designed, as The Client will be providing a locally sourced unskilled labour team, some of the works will be carried out while Fluid Acoustics trading as Wildback Partnership are not onsite to oversee. Therefore, we will not be responsible for areas that we have not be able to fully oversee. This also includes but is not limited to unknown building defects and any design parameters that may be changed by The Clients after the design has been submitted. 

    • Principal Architect 
      • While Fluid Acoustics trading as Wildback Partnership will do everything to ensure all design work is carried out correctly while also implementing we will not be able to take on the liabilities that come with being the Principal Architect on any of the work relating to any domestic works. The Clients will need to become the principle architect and take on those responsibilities. 

    • Tools* 
      • Fluid Acoustic trading as Wildback Partnership will provide our own professional tools while onsite. We are happy for The Clients unskilled labour to use our tools while onsite or when/if we leave our tools onsite with the understanding that The Clients covers the costs of replacing any tools lost or damaged at the end of our time onsite. While our tools are onsite The Clients must provide insurance to cover the cost of our tools. A detailed list of our tools will be provided at the start of construction.
      • We will provide a small list of hand tools we recommend The Clients purchase. 

  • Payment terms
    • For design work : Full payment confirms the order
    • For our skilled labour : Full payment confirms the order
    • Skilled labour must be a paid a minimum of 4 weeks in advance and a full payment schedule will be issued to help The Clients manage cash flow.
